The Variant to Function (V2F) Symposium is a one-day scientific conference taking place Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 9 AM to 7 PM at the Broad Institute’s Merkin Lobby and Auditorium. Hosted by the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Genomic Mechanisms of Disease, this symposium dives into the critical challenge of translating genetic associations into actionable therapeutic targets, including biomarkers and assays for patient stratification.

Throughout the day, leading experts will present on topics such as:

• Scaling variant interpretation and functional genomics

• Exploring regulatory landscapes and gene control mechanisms

• Decoding variant effects via cellular mapping

• Translating genetic insights into therapeutic strategies

The symposium will feature two keynote talks from George Church and Robert Plenge alongside dedicated poster sessions and networking reception.
