🐍 Celebrate Lunar New Year 2025 with Us! 🐍

Join us as we welcome the Year of the Snake and celebrate new beginnings, prosperity, and connection with the Broad community! Lunar New Year is celebrated across many cultures and countries, including China, Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Mongolia, as well as in Chinatowns and Asian communities around the world. Each culture brings its own unique traditions, foods, and ways of celebrating.

Whether you celebrate Lunar New Year every year or are simply curious to learn more, all Broadies are welcome to join in the festivities!

Activities

🦁 Lion Dance Performance by NEU Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe
Time: 5:00-5:45pm

Location: Serengeti Atrium (6000)!

Celebrate the spirit of the season with rhythmic drumming, dynamic movement, and rich cultural traditions as the lion and dragon come to life, symbolizing prosperity, strength, and good fortune for the year ahead.

Enjoy an Evening of Food, Culture & Community!

Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Location: Yellowstone and Monadnock

🥢 Delicious Eats: Bánh mì, dumplings, spring rolls, and more!

🌏 Learn About Lunar New Year Traditions Around the World: Discover how different cultures celebrate the holiday, from special foods to history of the event.

🎤 Karaoke: Show off your singing skills or just enjoy the fun!

🎟️ Raffle: Win exciting prizes, including AAA@Broad swag—don’t miss out!

About participation:
To help create a meaningful and engaging celebration, we kindly ask that if you RSVP, you plan to stay for the majority of the event and take part in the festivities. Meals will be provided to registered attendees, and the Asians & Asian Americans @ Broad Steering Committee (AAA SC) will be checking names at the event. Plus, those who stay will have the chance to participate in our raffle for a chance to win fun prizes!
