This year’s prize will be awarded to Carl June, Bruce Levine, Isabelle Rivière, and Michel Sadelain for developing CAR T-cell therapy for personalized and scalable cancer immunotherapy, which has provided durable remission for tens of thousands of patients with otherwise incurable blood cancers.
The symposium will feature short scientific talks from the prize winners and Broad Associate Member Marcela V. Maus, Director of Cellular Immunotherapy at MGH. Nobel laureate Harold Varmus will moderate a panel discussion with the awardees. A reception will immediately follow the symposium.
